Additional Context: The USAID Sasa Tunasoma! (“Now We’re Reading!”) Activity improved literacy and social-emotional learning for children ages 6–9 and expanded nonformal education for youth ages 10–14 in South Kivu. The program strengthened teacher training, provided quality learning materials, and built the capacity of parent and school management committees. It also promoted community led reading initiatives and supported caregivers to engage children in home-based learning and wellbeing activities.
