A former aid worker stated: "For more than two years, I worked as a community mobilizer in one of the projects, which was supported by USAID. I was able to provide awareness to many distressed individuals who lacked social, health, and legal information, gradually helping them to become informed about their rights. They were able to receive the necessary support from projects run by organizations like ours. I valued my work on this project, as the monthly income allowed me to cover many personal expenses and support my family of 10 as the only provider. However, I have been unemployed for three months due to the termination of USAID projects and currently face significant economic and mental health challenges. I hope that these projects will resume so that I can return to work and assist others."

Additional Context: Following the announcement of the suspension of USAID activities, the offices of several national and international organizations in Parwan and Kapisa provinces have been closed, resulting in numerous employees losing their jobs. Concurrently, the suspension has led to the shutdown of projects in sectors such as health, education, agriculture, and infrastructure, leaving many beneficiaries without access to essential lifesaving services.
