Additional Context: The U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, or OCHA, carried out a survey following the announcement of the US grants’ termination, in collaboration with IOM, UNHCR and ICVA. The survey, meant to assess the impacts on U.S. foreign assistance cuts and freezes, was open from March 10 to 21, 2025, and received 981 submissions. This was the second survey in a series of two, with findings published in April 2025.
The Women's Refugee Commission examined GBV funding tracked through the OCHA Financial Tracking Service and publicly available information on terminated USAID awards to conduct their analysis.
