Additional Context: The U.S. has long funded half of the world’s supply of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Foods, or RUTFs, with most of that portion manufactured by two organizations. Based in Georgia, Mana Nutrition produces Lipid-based Nutrient Supplements, or LNS, including RUTFs, used to treat severe acute malnutrition in children, and Ready-to-Use Supplementary Foods, or RUSFs, used to treat moderate acute malnutrition. While 320,000 boxes remained sitting in Mana’s warehouse in May 2025, as of March 2026 renewed contracts have operations moving normally.
