As a result of U.S. cuts to foreign aid, a major manufacturer of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (Plumpy Nut) was forced to temporarily suspend operations. While the company was eventually able to reopen to distribute excess product through school feeding programs it did not have the funding needed to transport the goods, leaving food stranded.
