Additional Context: The U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, or OCHA, carried out a survey following the announcement of the US grants’ termination, in collaboration with IOM, UNHCR and ICVA. The survey was open for submissions from March 10 to 21, 2025, and received 981 submissions. This was the second survey in a series of two, with findings published in April 2025.

This report from the Women's Refugee Commission examines the dual shocks of renewed conflict and funding withdrawal in eastern DRC. The researchers reviewed publicly available secondary resources, and conducted fieldwork in August 2025. They interviewed eight women-led organizations and ten internally displaced women in North and South Kivu.
