Additional Context: PROVIDA is a nonprofit organization based in El Salvador that operates at the intersection of relief and long-term development transformation. PROVIDA focuses on both humanitarian aid (emergency, health, water) and development (community participation, gender, rural empowerment). PROVIDA was a key source of evidence of irregular migration in El Salvador, contributing to monitoring as well as providing migrants with food, water, and hygiene items.
