The abrupt cessation of U.S. funding has shaken the operational capacity of the aid sector in Burkina Faso. The Permanent Secretariat of Non-Governmental Organizations (SPONG) confirmed that at least 19 of their members, which provided support to nearly 710,000 people, are impacted.
