Additional Context: This information was self-reported by 10 implementing organizations to the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, or ICBL, in a survey from late 2025. The remaining four organizations did not provide information on the number of staff made redundant. These losses of staff span demining operations, monitoring and quality assurance, risk education, and victim assistance activities.

Devex Researcher Note: An April 2026 report from the United Nations Mine Action Service, or UNMAS, suggests that the full effects of U.S. funding cuts on staffing remain undetermined, as UNMAS has reported a surge in EU funding, World Bank contracts, and other multilateral partnerships that may partially offset staffing losses globally.
