Additional Context: Oxfam’s humanitarian work in Ethiopia’s Gambella region is facing critical disruption due to the cascading effects of the USAID funding suspension. As a result of these funding cuts, UNHCR has reduced its funding to Oxfam’s work in Gambella in 2025 by 50%, significantly threatening the delivery of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services in all seven refugee camps in the region.
